Privacy Policy

What we collect, how we use it, and how your health information is protected when you use Medical Arts Telehealth.

Last updated: July 2026

Overview

Medical Arts Telehealth ("Medical Arts," "we," "us," or "our") provides administrative and technology services that connect patients with independently owned and operated telehealth practices. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to medicalartstelehealth.com and the intake, checkout, and account tools we operate.

This policy works alongside our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which governs how your protected health information (PHI) is used and disclosed by the licensed providers and practices you interact with.

Information we collect

We separate what we collect into two categories, because they are treated differently.

Account and contact information

  • Name, email address, phone number, and shipping address
  • Account credentials and login activity
  • Billing information, processed by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers)
  • Device and browser information, such as IP address, browser type, and general location, collected automatically when you visit the site

Health information

When you complete an eligibility assessment or intake questionnaire, you share health information with us, such as your medical history, current medications, height and weight, and goals for care. This information is used to support your evaluation by a licensed provider and is treated as protected health information under HIPAA once it is used for that purpose.

How we handle health information

Health information you submit is used only to support your care: connecting you with a licensed provider, supporting their clinical review, fulfilling a prescription when one is issued, and coordinating your ongoing treatment. It is not used for advertising, and it is not sold.

  • No PHI to advertising or analytics vendors. We do not send health questions, health answers, diagnoses, medication information, or any part of your intake to advertising platforms, ad pixels, or general-purpose analytics tools.
  • Marketing pages only. Any marketing or analytics tags we use run on public marketing pages, not inside the questionnaire, checkout, or your patient account.
  • De-identified conversion reporting. Where we measure whether an ad led to a completed order, we use de-identified signals tied to the confirmed order event, not your health answers.
  • Business associate agreements. Vendors who may handle PHI in the course of supporting your care (such as our pharmacy and clinical platform partners) operate under HIPAA business associate agreements.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With the licensed providers and pharmacies who deliver your care
  • With service providers who help us operate the site, process payments, or ship orders, under contracts that limit their use of your information to the services they provide us
  • To comply with a law, subpoena, or legal process
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of Medical Arts, our patients, or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected patients where required by law

Cookies and analytics

Our public marketing pages may use cookies and similar technologies to understand site traffic and measure the performance of our marketing. These tools run only on pages outside the intake questionnaire, checkout, and patient account areas. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we present a consent option before non-essential cookies are set.

Data retention

We retain account and contact information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after, to comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping requirements. Health information is retained by the providers and practices who treat you in line with applicable medical recordkeeping laws, which commonly require retention well beyond the length of an active membership.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you
  • Request a copy of your information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and medical recordkeeping requirements
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

California residents and residents of other states with similar privacy laws may exercise these rights by contacting us using the details below. We will verify your identity before responding to a request.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a minor without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page for a reasonable period.
